Breast Cancer Awareness Camp in Schools
July 2019, Kutch, India
Driven by her personal journey as a breast cancer survivor, Dr. Deval Gadhvi, founder of Let’s Save Ma, traveled across remote villages in Gujarat’s Kutch district to spread life-saving breast cancer awareness—in the beginning with just her two children by her side, and little funding or volunteer support. Undeterred by limited resources, she visited school after school, engaging young students in conversations about breast health and early detection.
Through these grassroots education sessions, she empowered children with vital knowledge and distributed awareness materials, encouraging them to carry these messages home and help their mothers break the silence about breast cancer.

Her tireless efforts not only reached women in places where medical care and information are scarce, but also planted seeds of awareness and courage within the next generation.
Dr. Deval’s courage and compassion created a ripple effect throughout Kutch’s remote communities—proving that even with humble means, one person’s determination can inspire lasting change and save lives.

Kutch Camp, India
December 2024 (10 Day Camp)
Let’s Save Ma conducted a comprehensive free mobile health camp, breast cancer awareness camp, and free mammogram
screenings across 17 remote villages in the Kutch district of Gujarat, including Rapar, Janad, Dholavera, Ratanpur, and the cities
of Mandvi, Bhuj, and Gandhidham. This outreach reached over 30 schools, where students were actively educated on breast
health and the importance of early detection.
Health professionals played a vital role in the campaign by conducting interactive sessions focused on identifying breast cancer
symptoms, teaching proper self-examination techniques, and answering community questions with culturally sensitive care. These
sessions addressed key barriers to early detection by empowering women and young girls with knowledge and confidence in
managing their breast health.
Alongside education, free mammogram registrations were facilitated to ensure timely screenings in these under privileged rural and
urban communities. Let’s Save Ma is making a measurable difference—improving survival chances, reducing the impact of
cancer, and empowering women to take control of their health.
Health Camp @jerseycity, USA
September 13, 2025
At our recent free health camp in Jersey City, Let’s Save Ma conducted 150 comprehensive blood tests that included major health indicators such as cholesterol levels, blood sugar (diabetes screening), kidney and liver function tests, and essential minerals and electrolytes. In addition to blood work, we performed blood pressure screenings to help identify individuals at risk for hypertension and related health issues.
This extensive testing provided vital health information to many underprivileged people, including those without health insurance who often face barriers accessing such critical services. Alongside this, we registered around 30 women for free mammogram screenings, enabling early breast cancer detection that can save lives.
Our volunteers were instrumental in this successful event, helping with registration, guiding participants, and ensuring everyone received the care and attention they needed. The camp fulfilled a pressing need in the community by providing accessible, no-cost health evaluations, empowering participants with knowledge to better manage their health and gain access to preventive care they might otherwise miss.
The overwhelming turnout highlighted how urgently these services are needed, and the impact resonates well beyond the event itself—offering hope, health insights, and a pathway to early diagnosis and treatment for those most vulnerable.

Livingston @newjersey, USA
September 13, 2025
Let’s Save Ma proudly organized a breast cancer awareness walk at Livingston Oval, bringing together community members, survivors, volunteers, and healthcare advocates in a powerful show of solidarity and hope. This event was more than just a walk; it was a vibrant platform to raise critical awareness about breast cancer, emphasize the importance of early detection, and encourage proactive health choices.
The walk attracted people from diverse backgrounds who joined to support the cause, spreading the message that early screening and education can save lives. Through speeches, educational booths, and distribution of informational materials, participants learned about risk factors, self-examination techniques, and the need for regular mammograms.
Breast cancer continues to affect thousands of women each year, many of whom are diagnosed at advanced stages due to lack of awareness or access to screening. Events like this walk play an essential role in breaking down the stigma and fear surrounding breast cancer and bridging the information gap, especially in underprivileged communities.
By participating, individuals not only show support for those battling breast cancer but also become ambassadors of awareness, encouraging friends and family to prioritize their health. The Livingston Oval walk energized the community, inspired preventive action, and strengthened our collective commitment to fight breast cancer through knowledge, support, and early detection.
